Easy. Some off-trail walking
The "Woods in the City" Box is hidden in the Blanche Hull Preserve, a
conservancy area within the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Blanche Hull Preserve is located on the city's southeast side,
bordered by Lovers Lane, Kilgore Road, and Burdick St. It's adjacent
to the Milham Park/Milham Golf Course land (but across Lovers Lane);
access to the area containing the box is only available from Burdick
St.
Easiest highway access is from I-94; use the Portage Road exit, then
Kilgore Road west to Burdick St. Go north on Burdick about a city
block; you'll see a sign for the Blanche Hull Preserve and a small
parking area.
There is no charge for admittance.
In addition to the usual disclaimers associated with letterboxing, be
aware that this is an urban park accessible to all city dwellers and
occasionally there may be locals wandering the trails.
